Marriage Contract Penelope Eades and Michael Watson

      State of Louisiana

      Parish of Feliciana   

          Know all men by these presents that ___

      Michael Watson & Daniel Eades are held & firmly bound unto

      Wm Collins & his successors & asigns in the full sum of five

      Hunderd dollars lawfull money of the United States to which

      payment will & truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs

      & asigns.  Signed by us this 8th day of July 1820 - Now the

      condition of this above obligation is such that whereas the

      said Michael Watson has this day obtained from the Judge of

      the Parish aforesaid a licence to celebrate a marriage

      between him the said Michael Watson and Penelope Eades.

      Now if there exists no legal impediment to the celebration

      of said marriage then this obligation to be void Otherwise

      to _____ in full force & virtue.
